Well, I’m back. Not that I really went anywhere, I’ve just been too lazy to post to my blog for the last 15 days.

What have I been doing? Nothing much… Enjoying myself. I’ve been playing Guitar Hero a bit, that’s certainly fun. However since I don’t have a memory card I’ve been playing the easy songs over and over, as with every power cycle comes a wave of destruction as far as game progress goes.

I also softmodded another Xbox, which was fun. Now instead of being just a gaming machine, it’s a media player, web browser, YouTube player, SNES emulator, N64 emulator, and a whole lot more. I’m going to do a post in the near future about how to softmod Xboxes. Even though there’s a heap of guides on the net already, I thought I’d add one.

Oh yes, one other rather significant thing happened early today: I was accepted into university. YAY! Yupp, I’m off to Swinburne University to do a Bachelor of Science (Professional Software Development). Even nicer was that I was awarded a Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship in IT, which is really good because I won’t have to pay HECS fees. It’s all excellent!

So, it looks like I’m going to have to relocate myself down to Melbourne in the next month or so. That will be a little bit scary, but it will be worth it. From what I’ve seen it’s a really good course.
