Celebrity Deathmatch??

Something odd is going on …. on Monday this week there was shocking news that Steve Irwin, the crocodile hunter famous for making Americans think Australians say “Crikey!” all the time, had been fatally wounded by a stingray. The death of Steve was very unexpected, but I could handle it. Then yesterday, Peter Brock, the local motor racing legend, was killed after a crash during a rally in WA. How can two quite prominent legends both die in the same week, both doing things they loved? Is there some reasoning for this? Who will be the next prominent Australian to die? Hopefully it’s one of the inmates from that awful “reality” show Big Brother that we had to tolerate earlier this year … though they aren’t prominent Australians, and it’s a bit hard to die while turkey-slapping. Meh.

Steve Irwin and Peter Brock were both valuable members of Australian society, and will be missed greatly.

Yeah, the death of both those two “prominent” Australians is very sad :(

Though, I did hear that if you attach a ring tickler (Haha Ben, band camp ‘05) to the turkey slapping device it increases the likelyhood that the person who gets slaped will get a headshot or critical hit.
