Blogging from Microsoft: Day 5 – Bleh

Hmm, well I nearly forgot to blog tonight. Heh, I just got so tangled up with reading Digg and other various tech news sites that I lost track of the things I need to do :P

Anyway, today at Microsoft was pretty standard, spent the day working on this eCommerce demo app, it’s coming together slowly but surely. It’s a biach getting everything to work, the HTML code on the site that we’re imitating is really bad … laughably bad in fact. Obviously not done by a real programmer… so yeah, I’ve been cleaning code all day and generating ASP.NET skeleton pages, to be linked to Real Code™ later on.

I nearly lost my security pass today … at the offices we have security passes which we need to get into any of the office areas. I somehow lost mine, but it turned up under a desk somewhere. Meh.

Interesting, just before I left I was given a copy of Age of Mythology. Hooray for free stuff. :D

That’s roughly all for now, it seems that the last three days have been very much the same … hopefully more excitement next week. :)

  2. BenNo Gravatar Says:

Heh, yes I’m writing this from the motel on the laptop via a cabled net connection … and the receptionist is looking at a few, ehm, inappropriate things. :|

  3. ToorNo Gravatar Says:

    Inappropriate… can’t a guy be gay?

  4. BenNo Gravatar Says:

Oh, sure, nothing against gay people at all, it’s just a bit inappropriate to be looking up porn at work isn’t it?

  5. Sam / EvilMalwareNo Gravatar Says:

Nothing wrong with being gay at all, but looking at porn at work? No, no, no. They call things like that “NSFW” or “not safe for work” or whatever for reasons…

  6. ToorNo Gravatar Says:

Ohh… I see. I was skimming the comments and didn’t take too much time to think about what was being said. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Yeah, looking up porn at work isn’t a good idea.
